The KCP Extreme Championship (also known as the K-Cat Project Openweight Championship) was introduced on May 20, 2022. The gold belt replaces the white belt as the new world championship for the organization. Director KOTA made an executive decision to have a new belt made following the news that Sara Ichinose lost the white belt to Rina Tanahashi from rival group Infinity X. The new belt follows the same format as the original defended in wrestling and boxing.
