Fighting Girls International 04 was a live event presented by the BATTLE organization on August 17, 2024.
This is the 4th installment since its 2021 revival. According to director C. Ronald, YUE has unilaterally been involved in the matchmaking for this particular event.
Original Card Lineup[]
The opening match sees a rematch from BWP Boxing 09 between BWP's Rin Miyazaki and FGI's Noa Nanami. The second match is a clash between BWP's next-generation aces as Sarara Uruki takes on Hinami Meguro. The third match sees BWP's Satori Sano against the SSS Champion Akari Niimura in a non-title match. The semi-main features rivals Nana Maeno and Nozomi Arimura in a champion vs champion non-title match.
The main event is a rematch from FGI 03 as YUE defends the BATTLE Heavyweight Championship against the B-1 Champion Runa Amemiya.
Important Notice & Major Lineup Change[]
On August 12, C. Ronald and the BATTLE organization were informed that Satori Sano was unable to compete at the live event due to an arm injury. Therefore, Kurumi Suzuka has been appointed as a new opponent for Akari Niimura. Then on August 14, YUE informed C. Ronald and fans that she was unable to appear at the event due to "various circumstances". This resulted in YUE vacating the red belt. Excluding the first, second, and semi-final matches, the third match is a special match between Suzuka and Suiren Komine. The main event will be for the vacant BATTLE Heavyweight belt as Amemiya takes on Niimura. The winner also becomes a double crown champion.
The Return of a Genius[]
Following the event's conclusion, a video aired on the monitor and later posted on X (Twitter) by C. Ronald showcasing the rivalry between Maeno and Mitsuki Nagisa. It was revealed that Nagisa is coming back to BATTLE at a later date to be announced.
