Fighting Girls International 02 was a live event presented by the BATTLE organization on August 13, 2022.
This is the sequel to the revived show from 2021 and is now exclusive for August. In addition to the changes, both FGI and SSS groups are united as the "Allied Forces" against the BWP group.
The match card features Himari Ayase and Tsukasa Nagano square off in the opener. The rest of the undercard sees Nana Maeno against Mirai Natsume while Nozomi Arimura goes up against Hinami Meguro. In a double main-event Champion vs Champion bouts, Akari Niimura goes one on one with Arisu Otsu while YUE once again takes on long-time rival Ako Momona.
Defection & Open Challenge[]
Post-match, tensions between the Allied Forces and BWP have only gotten personal when Nagano decides to join the SSS leaving Maeno & YUE in utter disbelief. In addition to the sudden defection, Nagano challenges Maeno to a BWP Title Match at BWP NEXT 09. Maeno was ready to throw down but left the ring along with YUE. Momona thanked Nagano, Niimura, and Arimura that despite her losing the main event, the Allied Forces stood together in unity to defeat the BWP.
