Aya Mamiya (formerly known as Rio Okita) is a retired Japanese AV actress and pro wrestler. She is best known for her time in the BATTLE organization and is a former Masters Champion.
Character Bio[]
Billed from Tokyo, Japan. Before she became a wrestler, Mamiya used to be a trainee for the "Lovely Pops" idol group in February 2018 but would leave in August due to conflicting schedules. Unlike most Extreme wrestlers, Mamiya is a babyface who specializes in power and technical moves to weaken her opponents.
BATTLE (2019-2022)[]
Mamiya would have a successful debut by getting a win over the dentist-turned-wrestler Nana Takanami.
Masters Champion & Hiatus[]
Within a short period, Mamiya defeated Waka Ninomiya to win the Masters Championship and became the 6th Champion in the blue belt’s history. During her title reign, Mamiya had two successful title defenses against Haruka Kurano and Hana Misora. She would remain unbeaten for months until the fall of 2020. In two non-title matches, Mamiya lost to Mizuki Sanada who left her beaten and humiliated. She would go on a hiatus by the time Extreme became disbandment.
Return & Transition[]
After a year-long hiatus, Mamiya returned in 2022 where she transitioned to the BWP roster. Her only opponent was Risa Mochizuki.
Inactive & Reinstated[]
After several months of inactivity, the organization was planning to retire the belt. However, following the announcement at BWP 09: CLIMAX for the upcoming BATTLE Champions Tournament in 2022, the Masters Champion will participate in the tournament along with other active champions.
Retirement[]
Announced on her Twitter account, Mamiya decided to retire from the industry on April 20, 2022. This also resulted in her vacating the belt ending a nearly three-year reign.
