Ai Kawana is a retired Japanese AV actress and pro wrestler. She is best known for her short run for the BATTLE organization and as a former member of the BWP roster. She also had a short spell with Infinity X.
BATTLE (2021-2022)[]
Kawana was part of a new class of BWP wrestlers being looked at as future stars to compete against rival groups FGI & SSS. From day 1, Kawana was viewed as a star in the making based on her push and fought top-level names she worked with. She made an impactful debut against the ace of BWP, YUE. Despite being a rookie, Kawana managed to hang well with the biggest name in BATTLE history.
BWP Live[]
In September, Kawana's first live appearance took place at BWP Boxing 04 against Arisu Toyonaka. Later in October, she teamed with Ariya Narimiya to defeat Arkari Niimura and Ichigo Suzuya in the main event of BWP NEXT 07. Post-match, the BWP wrestlers were brutally attacked by the "Allied Forces" and were casualties of a bigger conflict at BWP 09. Kawana had her match in December against Risa Mochizuki in the opener and scored a win.
BWP Tournament[]
Kawana has the rare distinction of competing in two championship tournaments for different organizations in the same year. She competed in the BWP Tournament defeating Shizuku Hanai in the first round, but lost to eventual winner Nana Maeno in the semi-final.
Swan Song[]
In April 2022, Kawana's final match for the organization was against YUE, who was her first opponent which was fitting and poetic.
Infinity X (2021)[]
Infinity X Tournament[]
Unlike in the BWP Tournament, Kawana made it to the finals defeating Ren Usui. She then took on Mitsuki Nagisa after she defeated Saya Minami. Sadly, Kawana lost to Nagisa and thus failed to capture the belt.
Retirement & Other Media[]
Announced on Twitter, Kawana decided to retire from all activities going forward ending a short but memorable career. She ended her run as an AV actress around the same period.
